Techno-Economic Analysis of the Modernization Options of a Gas Turbine Power Plant Using Aspen HYSYS

Currently, 90% of Kazakhstan’s oil is situated in 15 and gas fields where simple cycle turbines are utilized for electricity generation. The need developing techniques to enhance the efficiency eco-friendliness fuel consumption imperative. In this article, methods improving energy a turbine power plant functioning an field discussed, with consideration given impact ambient temperature specific environmental constraints, such as water scarcity high temperatures. Two schemes increase evaluated: first involves utilization waste heat boiler steam production intended technological purposes, while second generation through combination turbine. Models based on Aspen HYSYS were formulated, actual operation taken into account. Analysis indicated that scheme could generate up 350 t/h steam, completely replacing boilers. Im plementation combined (CCPP) system resulted 262.42 MW electricity. Environmental analyses demonstrated both exhibit comparable emissions terms generation, 0.56 kgCO2/kWh HRSG 0.53 CCPP.
